This section showcases the 3D-printed parts and accessories we have designed and built for our projects - from astronomy tools to everyday prototypes. Each model represents a hands-on solution to a real-world challenge, whether it is improving stability in astrophotography setup or creating mounts, adapters tailored to our workflow. The CAD files are created in SolidWorks 3D [Student version] and/or OnShape.
We keep updating the library as we learn more. The end date for this project above marks the latest update made in the library.

Introduction:

The Bahtinov mask is a device used to focus small astronomical telescopes accurately which is critical in our Astro Photography. After alignment of the telescope to the celestial object we are capturing, this Bahitnov mask is put on top of the Objective lens and adjust the focus until three rays for nearby stars intersect at a point (trisect).
